Cavalor Colostra – Essential first protection for your newborn foal
A good start is worth its weight in gold – and for foals, that start is entirely dependent on the intake of high-quality colostrum within the first 24 hours. If your foal hasn't been able to drink colostrum from the mare (or hasn't received enough) , Cavalor Colostra is the savior for strong immunity from day one.
Why Cavalor Colostra is indispensable in your foal crate:
• Rich in immunoglobulins (min. 30%) : essential for building up defenses against viruses and bacteria
• Safe & natural : based on freeze-dried, high-quality colostrum
• Specially developed for newborn foals
• Ideal for motherless foals or insufficient colostrum production in the mare
• Strengthens the immune system during the critical first days of life
For foals that:
• No or insufficient colostrum received after birth
• Being born from a mare with little or poor quality colostrum
• Need extra support for a healthy start
How does it work
Newborn foals have no antibodies of their own at birth. They are completely dependent on colostrum to build immunity. However, the absorption of these vital nutrients is time-dependent :
Absorption is most effective within the first 6 hours after birth. After 24 hours, the window closes.
Cavalor Colostra replenishes this crucial antibody deficiency and helps the foal prevent infections such as diarrhea and respiratory problems.
Compound
• High-quality, freeze-dried colostrum
• At least 30% immunoglobulins
• Completely natural and safe for all foals
Use & dosage
If no colostrum was received:
• Administer 1 dose within 6 hours of birth
• Repeat after 12–16 hours
If insufficient colostrum is received:
• Give 1 dose within the first 24 hours
Preparation:
• Mix 1 sachet (100 g) with 0.2 l Cavalor Hyppolac or warm water (not too hot!).
• Stir well until completely dissolved
• Administer via bottle with teat
Caution: Do not heat in the microwave – this destroys the active immunoglobulins!
Cavalor Colostra – For a healthy and strong start when it matters most. Essential in every breeding stable.
