The Kentucky Anatomische Buiklapsingel is a long stud girth for the jumping saddle, anatomically shaped so the elbows stay free. It is made for show jumpers looking for a sturdy, easy-care girth with a flat central hook. The synthetic leather is reinforced with nylon and repels water, sweat and dirt, and an EVA inner layer provides cushioning.
About this stud girth
What sets this girth apart is its anatomical shape. Kentucky has cut it so the elbows stay free, so the girth does not get in the way behind the elbows when your horse brings its front legs forward and up. As a stud girth, it has a widened centre section under the belly, as you often see on jumping girths.
The outside is synthetic leather reinforced with nylon. According to Kentucky, the composition is synthetic leather with polyester. The material repels water, sweat and dirt, which is handy if you often ride on a wet or dusty surface. Inside there is a layer of EVA, a light and springy foam that Kentucky uses as a cushioning layer.
In the centre sits a strong flat hook together with a central buckle. There are also 3 D-rings for draw reins. Both ends have elastic, so you can girth up evenly on the left and the right.
In the Kentucky range at Maddelin, this is the anatomical stud girth without fleece. If you want the same girth with a removable artificial sheepskin cover, choose the Kentucky Anatomische Buiklapsingel Wol.
